Contraceptive patch or contraceptive ring

Contraceptive patch
Samedaydoctor can arrange a prescription for contraceptive patches should you choose this method.
The combined contraceptive patch uses the same hormones as the most well-known pills but delivered to the body by absorption through a patch on the skin rather than a pill. It has the advantages of regular and predictable periods once settled down and good reliability, but you do have to remember to stick a new patch on each week for 3 weeks followed by a 7 day break. It has some tiny health risks which are much smaller than the risk of an unwanted pregnancy but is not suitable for some women who have certain medical problems, are significantly overweight or are over 35 and smoke. Side effects are rare and mostly slight but some women complain of irritation at the patch site after a while or that patches don’t stay on for a full week. If you wish to wear a bikini It may be difficult to find somewhere that doesn’t show to stick the patch.

Contraceptive ring
Samedaydoctor can arrange a prescription for contraceptive rings should you choose this method.
The contraceptive ring uses the same hormones as the most well-known contraceptive pill but delivers the hormone into the body through a ring in the vagina rather than pills. It has the advantages of regular and predictable periods once it’s settled down, and good reliability, but you do have to remember to take it out after 3 weeks followed by a 7 day break and then put in a new one. It has some tiny health risks which are much smaller than the risk of an unwanted pregnancy but is not suitable for some women who have certain medical problems, are significantly overweight or are over 35 and smoke. Side effects are rare and mostly slight and most people are comfortable with it sitting in the vagina without being able to feel it.
