Samedaydoctor provides accessible medical care to anyone in the UK through a nationwide network of eight clinics and access to doctors by phone or email. We make it possible for patients to see a doctor as soon as they realise they need one, with same day and walk-in appointments. We aim to see patients within 20 minutes of their arrival time in clinic and have extensive opening hours, including weekends and evenings. Samedaydoctor is founded on delivering the highest quality of service and we operate under strict regulation by the GMC and Care Quality Commission (CQC). Our administration team are highly trained to offer a sympathetic and informative advice to anyone contacting us, and all our medical staff are carefully selected and subject to regular performance reviews. Samedaydoctor offers a combination of general doctors (GPs / General Practitioners), sexual health specialists and consultants, other specialist doctors, Advanced Nurse Practitioners and specialist nurses. Our main aim is to offer fast investigation and treatment to those who are unwell or having symptoms that concern them, such that they are able to get the advice and medication they need as soon as possible. We also manage long term health needs and complex medical problems. Most blood test results are available the same or next day, and X-rays and scan results within a day or two. We offer an extensive range of other private doctor devices as well and sexual health and vaccination services. Private Doctor services include treating those who are unwell or worried and prescribing appropriate medicines, medicals and screening, women’s health and several more specialist services. All our clinics are also GU clinics (genitor-urinary clinics) and all our medical staff are trained in STD testing, treatment and advice. Vaccination services include children’s vaccines, including partnership with the specialist ‘Babyjabs’ service and all our clinics are also Travel clinics offering a broad range of travel and other vaccinations.
The history of samedaydoctor™
Samedaydoctor has over 10 years experience in delivering the highest possible level of medical care and now helps 23,000 patients a year. It was established in 2003 by Dr Laurence Gerlis, a prominent doctor who for over 25 years had practiced as a private GP in the Harley Street area as well as in the NHS. In 2007 samedaydoctor began a national expansion which carries on today, bringing this same quality and depth of service to areas outside Central London. In the three years since it has expanded through a mixture of franchised and wholly-owned clinics, samedaydoctor has grown to comprise eight clinics across the UK. Delivering the level of service which is the hallmark of samedaydoctor across each new location means the company has taken a careful and steady approach to adding locations, focusing on quality before quantity and always putting the care of every patient first.

We will continue to develop our nationwide network of clinics and extend the services we offer in our existing clinics as we respond to the needs of the general population. In addition we are constantly exploring ways to improve alternative access to private medical care, such as working with partners in the medical community to provide specialist clinics.
