The history of samedaydoctor™
Samedaydoctor has over 14 years experience in delivering the highest possible level of medical care and now helps 30,000 patients a year. It was established in 2003 by Dr Laurence Gerlis, a prominent doctor who for over 25 years had practised as a private GP in the Harley Street area as well as in the NHS.
Samedaydoctor has four clinics across the UK. Delivering the level of service which is the hallmark of samedaydoctor across each location means the company has taken a careful and steady approach to adding locations, focusing on quality before quantity and always putting the care of every patient first.
Samedaydoctor provides accessible medical care to anyone in the UK through a nationwide network of four clinics and access to doctors by phone or email.
We make it possible for patients to see a doctor as soon as they realise they need one, with same day and walk-in appointments.
We aim to see patients within 20 minutes of their arrival time in clinic and have extensive opening hours, including weekends and evenings.
Samedaydoctor is founded on delivering the highest quality of service and we operate under strict regulation by the GMC and Care Quality Commission (CQC). Our administration team are highly trained to offer a sympathetic and informative advice to anyone contacting us, and all our medical staff are carefully selected and subject to regular performance reviews.
Samedaydoctor offers a combination of general doctors (GPs / General Practitioners), sexual health specialists and consultants, other specialist doctors, Advanced Nurse Practitioners and specialist nurses.
Our main aim is to offer fast investigation and treatment to those who are unwell or having symptoms that concern them, such that they are able to get the advice and medication they need as soon as possible.
We also manage long term health needs and complex medical problems.
Most blood test results are available the same or next day, and X-rays and body scan results within a day or two. We offer an extensive range of other private doctor devices as well and sexual health and vaccination services.
Vaccination services include children’s vaccines, including partnership with the specialist ‘Babyjabs’ service and all our clinics are also Travel clinics offering a broad range of travel and other vaccinations.
