SameDayDoctor has over 14 years of experience in delivering the highest level of medical care and now helps over 30,000 patients a year. It was established in 2003 by Dr Laurence Gerlis, a prominent doctor who for over 25 years had practised as a private GP in the Harley Street area as well as in the NHS. SameDayDoctor has four clinics across the UK. Our same-day private GP services are based on a clinical practice that was established over 30 years ago. SameDayDoctor was the first private doctors clinic established in London and now has four clinic locations; three in London and one in Manchester. Our flagship clinic in Queen Anne Street offers walk in clinic services seven days a week, and because we have several clinical staff on duty at all times, waiting times are kept to a minimum. In addition to this, we monitor incoming emails and phone calls on a virtually 24-hour basis so that we can respond to the demands of modern-day medicine. Our clinics in the City of London, Canary Wharf and Manchester also offer similar responsive attention to our patients.
We have full and open access to full blood testing services, X-ray, ultrasound, and MRI/CT scanning facilities, which means we can deliver far more than most private GP services can in terms of GP services. Most blood test results are available the same day or the next, and X-rays and body scan results are available within a day or two.We can manage a wide range of medical problems which otherwise would need to be referred to hospital and the experience of our staff is up to and including teaching hospital consultant level. Therefore we can manage upper and lower respiratory diseases, gynaecological disorders, sexual health, urinary tract infections, internal medicine including diabetes, hypertension, gastrointestinal, endocrine, rheumatological and cardiovascular disorders.
We can also rapidly refer patients to private urgent care facilities and a wide range of local specialists with whom we have direct connections to organise fast and efficient onward treatment. Furthermore, we are proud to offer remote private GP consultations by email, Skype or telephone and we can also organise home testing kits for STIs. We provide a wide range of travel vaccines, and our experience of infant vaccination is unparalleled.
We make it possible for our patients to see a doctor as soon as they realise they need one or start to feel unwell, with same day and walk-in appointments across all of our locations in London and Manchester. We aim to see patients within 20 minutes of their arrival time in the clinic and have extended opening hours, including weekends and evenings for your convenience.
