Some employers may wish their employees to undergo a health check or preemployment assessment prior to starting a new job or role to check they are fit to undertake the proposed position. Our doctors will assess whether a candidate can fill the role as it stands or make recommendations for adjustments in the workplace for any disability. Employees should be aware that it is against UK law to discriminate against a candidate on grounds of disability, however, some jobs may have an essential requirement which can’t be met with a reasonable adjustment.
