Moles and suspicious lesions should ideally be examined with a special skin microscope called a Dermoscope
Moles and suspicious lesions should ideally be examined with a special skin microscope called a Dermoscope. This can highlight abnormal pigment and blood vessels that can indicate whether a lesion might be cancerous or be at risk of developing into cancer. This can be useful in detecting malignant melanoma and other skin cancers. Dr Gill is a GP trained in use of a Dermoscope who is available at the SameDayDoctor City clinic (Tuesdays and Wednesdays) and Canary Wharf clinic (Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays) and so please book an appointment for a mole or skin cancer check. Using this technology you can be reassured immediately or referred to a dermatologist for mole removal where necessary.
For City clinic please call 0203 871 6015 or for Canary Wharf call 0207 531 7120.
